Bamboo Flooring Pro and Cons
I am going to help you understand bamboo flooring pro and cons and I will also give you some advice on how to prepare for anything that may come up.
If you are seriously considering installing bamboo flooring then you are going to want to know what to expect from your new floor.
Some key features that bamboo flooring has to offer are that it is strong, durable, and it is a very new and modern material.
It is also considered a green, or eco-friendly, flooring option.
Some of the downsides are that it is used to a humid environment, and also that its color can fade if you do not take the proper precautions.
Bamboo plants have always been known for their rapid growth and their strength.
It is one of the world’s strongest materials that are not manmade. Even manmade things such as steel or cement are not as tough as bamboo is.
You will also have a large variety to choose from because many areas have their own look. You could choose from China bamboo flooring to something that is domestically grown. You should choose which style you like best, and which product has the right price, before you decide on putting down your new floor.
Since I do not want this next topic listed as a good or bad thing, I would like to set bamboo flooring pro and cons to the side for a second. Bamboo is considered a green product; it is easily sustainable and can be harvested in ways that are good for the earth.
I do not think that your opinion should be swayed by this though, because you can buy bamboo that is not eco-friendly. If you do not think that being good to the environment is important, then just get whatever bamboo you see fit and enjoy the beauty that it brings.
OK, back to the pros. This wood is very new and many people consider it trendy. Installing bamboo flooring is a great way to impress your friends and family. Adding bamboo to a room can really change the over-all feel of it and breathe new life into your home.
As for the cons, bamboo flooring can take a lot of prep work before you put it down. Since bamboo is grown in a hot, humid environment, it is used to that climate. Whenever you put it into your home you will have to make sure that is has a sealant on it so that it can be protected from its new weather conditions.
This flooring can fade too. But if you keep it out of ultra violet sun rays, then you should not have a problem. This is not the best flooring to put down in a sun room, but it would be great for a dining room, or some area in your home that you like to keep the sun out of.
Bamboo flooring pros and cons are something to take into serious consideration before you go and purchase the planks. Take your time and decide that it is what you want to have. If you go with it, enjoy the benefits of having the most decorative and tasteful wood that is on the market today!
